But for all its elegance, Piltover is a city built on deals, deadlines, and the fine line between ambition and arrogance.

Age. Piltovans mature in their late teens and may live into their 80s or longer—particularly those who augment their longevity with technology or magical assistance.
Size. Piltover’s citizens range from petite researchers to towering gearwrights. You may choose Medium or Small size.
University Knowledge. When making Intelligence (History) checks related to magic items, alchemical objects, or technological devices, make this check with advantage.
Hextech Tinkering. You gain proficiency with Tinker’s Tools. Using them, you may spend 1 hour and 10 gp worth of materials to construct a Tiny clockwork device (AC 5, 1 HP). It functions for 24 hours, or longer if you maintain it for 1 hour per day.
You may have up to three devices active at a time. When building one, choose from the following options:
- Clockwork Toy. A wind-up animal or figure that moves 5 feet each turn in a random direction and makes appropriate noises.
- Fire Starter. Produces a miniature flame that can light candles, torches, or campfires.
- Music Box. Plays a recorded song at moderate volume. Stops when closed or finished.
